On Wednesday 13 November 2024, Horizons & Co Law Firm, one of the UAE’s longest-standing and most prominent Emirati-founded law firms, celebrated its 25th anniversary at the iconic Dubai Opera.
Founded by Managing Partner Ali Al Zarooni, the firm has become a cornerstone in both the UAE and international legal landscapes. The evening commemorated the firm’s journey over the past quarter-century and highlighted its dedication to excellence, diversity, and community engagement.
The event welcomed esteemed guests from across the UAE, GCC, and global legal and business communities. Notable attendees included His Excellency Ridwaan Jadwat, the Australian Ambassador to the UAE; Mr. Hazem Aly, Chief Legal Counsel at the Central Bank of the UAE; Mr. Waleed Al Sayegh, CEO of the Bank of Sharjah; and Ms. Jehad Abdulrazzaq Kazim, Executive Director of the Dubai International Arbitration Centre, along with prominent leaders and partners from globally renowned law firms, financial institutions, UAE and international conglomerates, companies, and universities.
Reflecting on the firm’s journey, Ali Al Zarooni, Managing Partner of Horizons & Co., remarked,

The celebration began with welcome drinks and canapés, followed by a four-course dinner featuring regional and international cuisine. Guests enjoyed world-class performances from opera singers, musicians, and dancers, showcasing the best of the arts both locally and from around the world. A commemorative video chronicled Horizons & Co.'s remarkable journey, while Ali Al Zarooni’s speech paid tribute to the firm’s values, achievements, and future aspirations. The proceedings culminated with a vibrant unveiling ceremony, followed by an upbeat fusion music performance that invited guests to the dance floor, ending the night on a celebratory note.
Under Ali Al Zarooni’s leadership, Horizons & Co. has played a pivotal role in enhancing the development and best practices of law in the UAE, and he has personally been instrumental in supporting the global understanding of the UAE civil law system.
Furthermore, the firm has championed diversity and community involvement, from offering pro bono legal services to supporting gender equality in the profession.
