Experience highlights
- An Indian individual in a forgery case before the courts in Sharjah, concerning forging an online application he filled in on behalf of his partner. Obtained judgment in first court in six months, followed by deportation. This was quickly resolved, resulting in four years with no deportation. Negotiated directly with the bank to a successful resolution.
- A Kuwaiti mother on a rental dispute over a flat in Sharjah in 2006 for a 2009 handover. The price was AED 300,000 and we obtained a 10% discount from the developer, making a successful claim for AED 350,000 compensation from the developer.
- On an inheritance case in Sharjah wherein the deceased owned 80 properties and bequeathed an AED 500 million inheritance. Sold and resolved all the family disputes within 1.5 years in the Sharjah courts. The settlement was initially projected to take roughly 10 years.
- A Kite Beach villa owner whose family was invited to stay for a month, which resulted in them refusing to leave the property after an extended stay. The eviction issue was successfully resolved, with guests evacuating the house.
- A UAE resident from Saudi charged with drug-related crime wherein the police claimed he was a drug dealer, sentencing him to 15 years in prison. Representing the client from the angle of police error in following procedure.
- A client on a crypto case. The client put USD 20 million into an account with a registered company, with the latter refusing to release the funds on request.
- An individual in a notable divorce case. A settlement of AED 1 million was obtained, in addition to the house and alimony payments. The client also won child custody and approval for them to travel.
- An individual who paid money to his betrothed upon their engagement, which was then broken off. We successfully secured repayment of his funds.
- A man in Abu Dhabi who was ordered to pay AED 4.8 million for his divorce settlement after 10 years of marriage.
- An individual was accused of fraudulently submitting documents for a golden visa, though it was his friend who mistakenly provided incorrect papers. Our client faced jail and deportation, but we secured his release pending an investigation, which ultimately ruled in his favour. He is now able to obtain a golden visa and exercise his residency rights.
