Representative Experience
- A large Dubai-based financial institution on a suite of financial disputes with both the general contractor and the employer (a state-owned entity) in relation to the financing of a major infrastructure project in three parallel litigations, before the DIFC Courts, the Dubai Commercial Courts, and the Judicial Tribunal of the Dubai, and DIFC Courts.
- A multinational contractor on a dispute arising out of an EPC contract in relation to several construction projects at eight ports across the UAE.
- An international specialist contractor on an extension of time claim relating to an Abu Dhabi airport for the ground lighting systems.
- A trader of refined oil products in Dubai Court and DIFC court proceedings in respect to claims of alleged mixing of naphtha with gasoil at an oil terminal based in Fujairah, UAE.
- Several claimants on an Energy Charter Treaty Arbitration in respect of an UNCITRAL arbitration (Hague seat) concerning claims relating to an investment in the renewable energy sector.
- A major Middle East-based EPC contractor on an AED 454 million ADCCAC Arbitration relating to delays and disruption by the employer, a GCC government entity.
- A consortium of Chinese banks in connection with project financing issues concerning the development of coal-fired power projects with an ancillary jetty for the receipt of coal imports by sea in Baluchistan, Pakistan.
- A joint-venture of international entities, acting as a main contractor, in a claim pertaining to the non-payment of outstanding amounts related to retention and certified amounts in construction of a major airport tribunal in Dubai.
- A buyer of LNG in a dispute concerning the reimbursement of port charges by the seller (LCIA Rules, London seat, English law).
- A multinational construction joint venture on an ICC Arbitration to a multi-million-USD metro project in the GCC.
