We are seeking to recruit a talented disputes lawyer with 5-6 years PQE to join our arbitration department, operating from our Dubai office. The ideal candidate will possess strong drafting experience in construction and commercial disputes, have a client-focused approach, and excellent interpersonal skills.
In this role, you will be engaged in every aspect of your matters, with high degrees of client exposure, and an opportunity to expand your knowledge of civil law. With an emphasis on teamwork, you will contribute to the success of the growing team and develop your skills in a collaborative environment. Your ability to multitask, coupled with your attention to detail and organisational skills, will enable you to thrive in this role.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of written submissions.
- Contribute to discussions on case strategies.
- Ensure proper organisation of matters, including meeting key deadlines and managing team resources.
- Engage in legal research while closely collaborating with the UAE litigation team to create solutions by applying effective legal research techniques.
- Connect with clients to strengthen ties and build robust client relationships.
- Participate in business development activities to enhance the team's visibility.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Masters / Bachelor of Law from a reputed university.
- 5 - 6 years PQE with an in-depth knowledge of UAE laws.
- Excellent attention to detail with well-developed analytical skills.
- Good time management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure while handling multiple projects.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ideal candidate will have robust business and client development skills.
- Advanced with MS office suite skills including MS Teams, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional English written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in a similar capacity, whether at an international law firm or as in-house counsel, is an added advantage.
