  • A high-net-worth healthcare professional and entrepreneur on a USD 5 million +  long-running and unresolved complex accounting shareholder dispute, arising out of a highly profitable healthcare clinic established in Dubai, whereby we guided our client towards and through a successful mediation.
  • An ultra-high-net-worth client in DIFC court proceedings in relation to an option right to transfer the entirety of a shareholding, which was being held on the client’s behalf by a nominee shareholder. The claim sought specific performance of the share transfer.
  • A very prominent UAE-based individual in a high-stakes commercial litigation case before the Dubai Court, who was accused of remitting AED 3 million + by a UAE-based company of which they were a shareholder and investor.
  • A petrochemical trader on a USD 20 million dispute concerning a Commercial Storage Agreement, under which the Respondent was to supply our client with storage facilities and storage-related handling services for petrochemical products near the Port of Fujairah.
  • An investment arm of a major western government on a dispute concerning financing, whereby the investor reneged on its repayment obligation and provided cheques with insufficient balance as set out in their agreement.
  • A UAE-based financial institution on a USD 4 million dispute against a joint stock company incorporated in Bahrain, regarding an agreement for the service and operation of credit and debit cards, under the Arbitration Rules of the International Islamic Centre for Reconciliation and Arbitration.
  • An insurance intermediary for high-net-worth individuals in DIFC proceedings commenced against a director in relation to loss of business opportunities and the termination of various agreements.
  • A global financial advisory company on a dispute in relation to the non-payment of success fees, specifically concerning a contract wherein our client was the financial advisor for two individuals in relation to the sale of their company.
  • A luxury car manufacturer on issues relating to their agreements when establishing the distribution of vehicles across the Middle East and Africa.
